Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Senior Java developer to join the Engineering Team. This role will be completely hands-on, developing our partner’s new generation platform which they are currently designing and building. The Engineering Team is innovative, autonomous and loves to constantly work on new technologies for designing the modern framework. The team is working in a relatively flat structure and engineers are always encouraged to bring new ideas to the table.

Core responsibilities:

  • Helping design, build, maintain mainly back-end solutions
  • Understanding and accessing business requirements and logic
  • Maintaining existing systems and supporting migration to our new platform
  • Ensuring That Solid Development Practices, such as proper use of source control, full testing processes and automated deployment mechanisms are followed
  • Helping the team with all aspects of development: identifying potential performance issues, bottlenecks and pain points and recommend new and creative ways to solve them
  • Contributing to an Agile team doing continuous improvement
  • Taking ownership of feature development and ongoing maintenance
  • Working in enterprise-level solutions for big data

Required skills and previous experience:

  • At least 4 years of full-stack development experience using Java technologies
  • Experience with various database technologies including Postgres and MongoDB
  • Experience with using API to collect data
  • Skilled in using Microservices
  • Good working knowledge of Kubernetes
  • Business Analyst skills are a must for understanding complex client requirements
  • Email automation service with excel attachment
  • The ability to efficiently communicate and integrate with an international team

Desired skills:

  • Working experience with JavaScript and JVM technologies
  • Experience with Kotlin
  • Good working knowledge of developing cloud-friendly enterprise solutions
  • Natural Language Processing and Semantic Web
  • Public Cloud computing platforms, such as GCP, Azure and/or AWS
  • Good working knowledge of Actian Vector
