Haptiq AS is a software as a service (SaaS) company with Headquarter in Oslo, Norway with presence in 4 locations across Europe and Asia. Founded in 2018, Haptiq currently consists of around 37 developers and artists, and we are in total 44 employees moving from start-up to scale-up. Responsibilities and task

We are looking for exceptional back-end-developers to help us reach the next level! At Haptiq you will have the opportunity to develop new features and improve the quality of the existing codebase.

Some of your main responsibilities will include: (1) write elegant, efficient, and testable code that is easy to maintain and debug, (2) cover code with tests and perform manual testing of features, while reviewing the work of colleagues, and (3) you will research, implement, test, and help other teams integrate new functionality to improve the quality of our product(s) and service(s). Most of our work is in python, where we build our product(s) using AWS and AWS CDK.

Working as a back-end-developer, you are “under the hood” and below some of your key responsibilities:

• Participate in forming our backend solutions
• Design and setup databases
• Develop and maintain tools for data handling and analysis
• Develop and maintain API access points in conjunction with our front-end team
• Develop and maintain our systems on cloud platforms such as AWS
• Ensure security and integrity within our systems
• This position reports directly to our CTO

About you

• Bachelor or master’s in computer science, informatics or similar with high academic scores
• 2+ years’ experience working within a software development team
• Strong interest for working within innovative software environments
• Experience or interest for database design and modelling
• Experience with Git or similar
• Experience with cloud solutions such as AWS/Azure
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience dealing with and handling security
• Solid working knowledge of one or more languages: C#, NET, Python or Java
• Experience with both HTTPs and tcp/udp protocols
• Solid spoken and written knowledge of English
