Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development of the company’s strategy, in the field of system administration
  • Defines the strategic and operational goals of the team
  • Formulates team development plans and programs
  • Controls, approves and delegates tasks for team members
  • Communicates with external stakeholders regarding assigned tasks
  • Organizes the team in accordance with internal rules and procedures
  • Controls tasks performed and time logged
  • Takes care of task specification and time estimation for the client for the purpose of making an offer
  • Addresses communication challenges between the system administration team and other teams or external stakeholders
  • Proposes an annual human resources plan for their team
  • Participates in the creation and implementation of the Human Resource Management System in their team
  • Maintains the stability of human resources in the team and proposes measures for improvement
  • Manages performance and evaluates the work of team members
  • Formulates plans and programs and human resource development for team members
  • Provides time and other resources to team members for task accomplishment and personal development
  • Proposes bonuses, raises, disciplinary measures, etc.
  • Defines and implements business processes in the team
  • Creates, implements and improves teamwork procedures
  • Reports on the success of solved team tasks
  • Reports on significant challenges in the field of their work and the work of the system administration team
  • Reports on hours spent for each team member
  • Informs stakeholders about resource occupancy and ensures the availability of resources for assigned activities according to agreed priorities
  • Informs stakeholders about project statuses
  • Controls, approves and submits the specification of ICT procurement equipment for final approval
  • Ensures that procedures and legal regulations are followed by the team members

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Team Leader
  • 2+ years of experience as a System administrator
  • The ability to breakdown strategic plans into operational goals
  • Familiarity with some project management tools (Easy Project, Jira, etc.)
  • The ability to manage time and plan the daily activities effectively
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Proficiency with Bash
  • Familiarity with GitLab
  • Experience with networking
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English

What else is a plus?

  • Knowledge of databases (My SQL, PostgreSQL)
