Product Owner

The Product owner is one of key stakeholders in a software development project. This role is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and optimizing the value of the work the development team does. The Product Owner does this in part through maintaining the product backlog and conveying the vision of the product to the development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizes the product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Focused on defining and achieving the goal of the sprint
  • Defines what features to do and in what order to do them
  • Actively engaged with the team, stakeholders and customers with the aim of building the best product possible
  • Clearly expressing User stories and splitting user stories which are too complex to finish in one sprint
  • Specifying acceptance criteria for each User story
  • Ordering items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals\vision
  • Ensure that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent and clear to all, and shows what the team will work next
  • Ensure development team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed
  • Decide on release date and content
  • Monitor progress on release level, responsible for the expectation management regarding release
  • Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners and stakeholder management during the visioning and concept development of a product
  • Market research, ROI (Return on investment), customer feedback analysis
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective as a fully integrated scrum team member

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and use product management software, such as JIRA, or other applications
  • Understanding what it means to be Agile and experience in using Agile and Lean Frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
  • To be curious and driven by desire to constantly learn, investigate and keep up with lates technologies
  • Preferably, to be interested in finance, banks sector and FinTech industry
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with clear & specific agenda
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Excellent business analysis, test planning, activity planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
