Job description:

We are looking for a candidate who will join our DBA team and help with administration of growing number of PostgreSQL database instances. You will be responsible for good health and performance of many highly transactional production databases working in a high availability clustered environment. You will be supporting databases in our clients existing and growing sports betting systems.

 Required skills:

• University or equivalent degree
• 3+ years of experience in highly transactional production environment
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL database installation, configuration, backup and recovery management, migrations, upgrade and patch management, performance tuning and other administrative activities
• Familiar with PostgreSQL database server configuration – capable of tuning server configurations to optimize performance as per required workload
• Experience with replication configuration in PostgreSQL
• SQL performance monitoring and tuning
• Underlying operating system core skills (Linux, Windows)
• Linux bash scripting
• Analytical mindset and commitment toward providing high-quality standards in work
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies
• Good communication skills, team spirit and goal-oriented approach
• Intermediate or advanced English writing and communication competence

 Desirable skills:

• PostgreSQL database configuration and administration in clustered environment
• PostgreSQL database configuration and administration under AWS cloud
• Writing, analyzing and debugging complex SQL statements
• Proficiency in Oracle database installation, configuration, backup and recovery management, migrations, upgrade and patch management, performance tuning, administration in RAC environment, experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Exadata, Oracle partitioning and compression is a big plus
